Safe
First, I invited you to reflect a bit on the concept of Safe. What does Safe truly mean to you? When have you experienced Safety in your life? And what is the result of experiencing Safety in your life?
My impression of Safe
With my best effort, I would like to share some of mine own impressions and experiences of Safe in hopes that they might inspire something good and useful. For me, Safe is immediately connected to the words an umpire uses in baseball to declare a runner has connected to a base without fear of being sent back to the dugout. In this way, Safe would be connected to refuge from some kind of threat. The next thing that comes to mind is Someplace Safe which is a temporary residence for women who are the victims of domestic violence. This is a Safe that hopefully overcomes a much more dangerous threat than in a game, but still has a similar meaning. I think someplace Safe for me is a place that allows for growth and healing without the presence of conflict that is destructive, but rather enlightening.
Safe Space
What is Safe Space? When have you experienced Safe Space? And what is the result of experiencing this Safe Space in your life?
I find that Safe Space still allows for a sense of play and adventure that has unknown elements involved, but at the same time provides help along the way to nurture growth, allowing one to become more at Peace, more fully oneself. I believe that a Safe Space is somewhere I feels at ease to the point of surrendering anxieties and worries that hold me back from experiencing the freedom needed for one to reach their true potential.
The Safe Space where I learned about the Ramayana and many other important things.
I have been fortunate enough to have met many wise, loving, and honest individuals in my life :-) It is these people, these dear souls, that have helped me find many Safe Spaces to practice during the coarse of my life. It was one such Space that I experienced the teachings of the Ramayana and learned many other important things. There was not only the journey that my imagination and the wisdom of the ages provided in these sacred teachings of the Ramayana, but also the atmosphere of a sacred, clean, and unplugged environment, whether it was within the walls of the Shanti Ashram (the building of study and fellowship) or the beautiful neighborhood and park that surrounded it.
I spent hours engrossed in the teachings of the Ramayana and Swami Dharmakirti. All the others who attended the lessons where so very kind and earnest in their studies as well, providing me with support in my own efforts to practice, learn, and grow. The satvic food provided was of such a quality and energy that it nourished and cleansed one's body, while balancing the mind. Before, during, and after there was no pressure felt about having to buy or prescribe myself to any belief system or product or person, in fact, it was always encourage that we continue to seek out or own truth, ask our own questions, and follow our own path. To me, these teachings and this fellowship supported of the dignity of all beings, with a core of non harming at its center, providing me with a sense of relief and freedom, a Safe Space, to learn and grown into my best self. There was no magic pill, or flashy toy that get me to enlightenment in this practice, and this is perhaps the biggest reason that I felt safe in these teaching, this practice, this Space. The Safety felt real and available to any who would welcome Love into their hearts, and who loosen their grip from depending on habits and substances that ultimately cause only suffering and ruin.
Thank you Ramayana, Swami Dharmakirti, Shanti Ashram, satvic food, nature, honest seekers, fellowship, and you, my friend, for taking the time to be here today, to read these words! :-) It is amazing how we can Love and support each other just by doing what is best for ourselves, because when we do what is truly helpful beyond convenience and ease, we help all living beings just the same :-) Have a wonderful day, my friend! Thank you so much for joining me, for being wonderful you! I hope that you enjoyed “Thank You Peace :-) For a Safe Space :-)” May we all find that Safe Space which supports our journeys, and welcomes Love into our hearts :-) Love, Aaron :-)
