Peace
First, I invited you to reflect a bit on the concept of Peace. What does Peace truly mean? When have you experienced Peace in your life? And what is the result of experiencing Peace in your life?
My impression of Peace
With my best effort, I would like to share some of mine own impressions and experiences of Peace in hopes that they might inspire something good. For me, Peace is a sacred concept that I look to in very high regard, one that opens me up to all other sacred concepts of the Divine like Love, Hope, Faith, Truth, etc. I notice Peace in many ways, when I see friends sharing conversation, when I see a laying sleeping/meditating cat, when I experience a breath of fresh air, etc. Whenever I am given a chance to appreciate and pause for some reason, Peace is close by it seems. It might also be useful to share my impressions of the antithesis. For me, Peace seems very distant in loud noises, in sore aching body parts including the head, in angry actions and words, in not meeting expectations at work or on a project, confusion, too many choices, too much of anything (except Peace and other Divine concepts), etc.
Enter Serenity
What does Serenity truly mean? When have you experienced Serenity in your life? And what is the result of experiencing Serenity in your life?
It is when I am focused on a concept like Peace that a condition comes over me that I think of as Serenity, which alleviates the negative energy that arises as a result of the experiences that are opposing Peace, and many times can help me feel an even deeper connection to Peace. This Serene state allows me to be more responsive, kind, considerate, and loving in whatever situation I am in, helping to bring about a more harmonious experience at home, work, etc. I would describe Serenity as a feeling of lightness, awareness, and connection. I almost feel like I am dancing through life in the flow of Grace.
Stability of a Serene State
After studying yoga for a number of years, these latest classes on the Ramayana included, I have notice a stabilization of this state which I consider to be in Serenity. I notice this because there are less of the situations in my life that would separate me from the concept of Peace, as well as the other Divine concepts mentioned. This practice of yoga and studying that which connects to the Divine Peace gradually strengthens my connection, and is the reason why I do my best to keep practicing, to keep sharing (another important form of study). I invite you, my friend, to do the same, to keep up the healthy practices within your own life, which awakens Peace, and enlivens the experience of Serenity for you. For this very reason, I wish to invite you on a journey into this Divine message of the Ramayana and the practices that surround its study :-) That which was shared to me helped me greatly in my quest to bring Peace more fully into my own life. May my sharing offer you something helpful within your own :-)
Next week I would like to share my impressions on having a safe space to practice in, this includes good fellowship, respect for the teachings and teacher, healthy foods, and allowing commitment to follow.
Have a wonderful day, my friend! Thank you so much for joining me, for being wonderful you! I hope that you enjoyed “Thank You Peace! For Serenity! :-)” May we all find that awakening to Peace that allows for a Serene and harmonious existence within oneself and with our fellow beings :-) Love, Aaron :-)
